This is a very sturdy pole once you have assembled it. It is very easy to put together and arrives in a cardboard box ready to assemble.However I’m used to a prop that extends whereas this is fixed and unfortunately it’s just too long to use with my washing line. It was so tall it was just stretching the line too much. So whilst it is stable and sturdy unfortunately it is just too tall so I suggest you check if the height will work for you.If it does then it offers good value for money and will be very stable and perform well for your washing line.

Easy to use and good price.

Solid and sturdy unlike telescopic poles which cant hold heavy weight on the clothes line.

Really pleased with this washing line prop. It feels sturdy and strong once assembled, and the adjustable height makes it very practical for different washing loads. The stainless steel design looks neat and doesn’t feel flimsy like some cheaper props I’ve used before.It was easy to put together and lightweight enough to move around the garden when needed, while still giving good support to a heavy washing line. Great value for money and has held up well in windy weather too.Would definitely recommend if you need a reliable replacement clothes line pole.

Originally the wrong item was delivered. However, I contacted the seller who immediately rectified, sending the correct item by the following day. The actual item performs as expected. Invaluable for hanging your clothes outside. It raises the line up to catch the wind on sunny days. It definitely speeds up drying time. This is super strong and durable.

Speedily dispatched, within a very short time of placing the order. Arrived well packaged. Very sturdily made, proper tubular steel. Obviously not telescopic, made up of 4 screwed together sections, so will probably unscrew into 2 lengths of 2 sections each to store inside. Good product.

I have just relocated our washing line to make the most of the available sun time and our old clothes prop was showing its age with rust starting to spread. So when I had the chance to test this clothes prop it was a no brainer.So how has it performed so far:THE GOOD- It's very easy to use, the four sections just screw into each other.- The middle two sections are optional giving it adjustability depending on the length you need.- Priced at £12.99 at the time of ordering, this is decent value for money.- The use of stainless steel should give the pole good durability from the elements.NOT SO GOOD- The pole we have now is a twist lock, so you can make it any length you like, this only has the option to reduce by one full section.- The "stainless steel" looks more like chrome to me, if that's the case, it will inevitably fail at some point and corrode.- The line grab end is all plastic and its quite thin, so I am a little concerned that it may break or become brittle due to UV exposure from the sun.OVERALL OPINIONThis is a budget pole and that is both a strength and weakness. The strength is that it's affordable, the weakness is that it cannot be perfect and made of the best quality metal. Ultimately for me, the lack of control over the length is a bit of a let down as is the fact that the metal is thin so the chrome will undoubtedly fail in my past experience. As such, I would rather spend a bit more (OK, maybe 2x), to get a twist lock pole with a powder coated or aluminium shaft and a thicker nylon head. However, if your budget is tight, this will undoubtedly do the job, but you have to be realistic in your expectations.

This is ok for what it is and if you need a pole that's this tall.If you want to use it in limited hight, it might not be suitable.Because it comes in four sections, that's the amount by which it's adjustable.So once one section is removed, it's probably too short to be of much use.If it came in five sections or if one section was telescopic, it would have worked better.It all just screws together.It's easy to grab the line with the hook to pull it down then hook the other way to prop it up

This washing line pole looks good and was easy to put together. It doesn’t weight much but enough to do the job. I can’t comment on this yet but a metal pole like this will always be prone to rusting outside, however the fact that it splits so easily into sections means it can be put away after use and not take up much space. My previous one only reduced to half its size and wasn’t so easy to hide away. It’s a good height when it’s put together.

This washing line pole is currently reduced a little to £9.49 from its usual price of just under a tenner which is a reasonable price although it works out better value buying 4 if you have the need lol.The pole is made from strong stainless steel and coming in 4 sections you can tailor the size perfectly. Full size this is just under 8ft in length for those who prefer imperial measurements :-)The thickness of the pole is about average and does not feel like it will bend even in windy conditions.I like the top of the pole with its G type design which secures washing line well and can be kept on the line for storage when not in use.Very easy to use and does the job of inching up the line for drying your clothes more effectively especially with heavier weight items such as duvets, covers, jackets that can weigh the line down.Good price and tough.

I used to either not use one of these or use a long bit of wood, but after using all my wood on projects, I was left without a prop. This popped up and seemed ideal.Comes in 4 parts, so you can easily store it away during winter by taking it apart. Once put together, it seems quite strong, and so far it's handled my washing line load well. The plastic end, which clips the line, is also strong with no danger of the line coming out in the wind.It's bright chrome, so it looks quite tidy. I hope this lasts in the weather.£9.49 at the time of review, I think it's good value, assuming it lasts.

This pole is strong, sturdy and stable. Assembly is simple, once assembled it is 2.4 metres with a "hook" at one end and a plastic stopper at the other.I consider it fair value for money.I intended to give it 5 stars because it does everything I require, but I read through Amazon's description with states it is telescopic - it is not.

I have used washing line props before, particularly in windy conditions where lines tend to sag under heavier loads. This one is a fairly standard telescopic pole.The height adjustment works as expected, and the locking mechanism holds reasonably well under normal weight. It extends easily, although the sections can feel slightly less rigid when fully extended.Build quality is decent for general use, but not something I would fully trust in very strong wind or with extremely heavy loads. It does the job for everyday laundry without much effort.Overall, it is a practical tool that solves a simple problem. Not particularly robust, but adequate for typical home use.
