The gloves provided are needed until all the grease/oil has disappeared. Used a rubber mallet to push in them in. They are solid and work.
Did exactly what I needed them to do. Well they didnt. My idiot chihuahua just went under the temp fence instead 😅😅
VALUE for money. Well made and strong
Yes they are very handy, using them for pond netting. Only problem is that they are very quick to go rusty, but they still do the job.
Absolutely do not bother, these have been installed in my garden for 3 days and have already 80% rusted. Considering they're intended for outdoor use this is incredibly disappointing - AVOID!

Exactly as described, seem super strong and fit for purpose, only just used first time today on allotment for creating a brassica cage. Made it easy to set up, but, still to see how well the last, but, not anticipating any issues. Should be able to use gir years to come.
These looked like others that I have purchased, I needed some quickly, and these were next-day delivery. A bit of a mistake as it turns out. They arrived on time but...When I went to take off the plastic wrapping I got a nasty surprise - the wrappings and the metal were all coated in a nasty black oily stuff - it got all over my hands before I realised it was there. I cleaned up and put on disposable gloves, but the black 'oil'? still got all over the place. I had to wipe down each of the 10 metal rods, then wash them to enable me to even touch them. The 'oil'? was eventually removed and I assume it was needed to stop them rusting? Garden metal always rusts somewhat, but the orange spots that appeared like a particularly nasty disease on these rods within 24 hours was a new one on me! I have used these. I'm pretty sure the orange spot disease is not transmittable to my plants and they should work for a while, but why all the mess to start with? The free gloves were a little different too - the first one on laddered like a cheap pair of tights!
These come covered in tar or oil which is why they supply gloves (the gloves they provide are tiny). I had to wash this off before using with hot soapy water. This meant they rusted instantly. They are not strong and bend in the wind. One purchase I sincerely regret.
Goes very rusty when it rains even up very short term good quality overwise
Excellent product, my second purchase.
Pins were ok but the gloves had holes and and were of no use.
These are really useful for the allotment however I completely regret buying these black stakes. When unpacking and setting up at the allotment the black was like an oil and I got covered in black marks. Wouldn’t come off easily using water. Next time I will be buying galvanised or plain silver. I would avoid buying these blacks ones and if you do, recommend wearing gloves to avoid transfer of oil based goop
Theses stakes have a smooth shaft so won't catch on wire fencing, which is what I used them for and an angled cut on the end that helps it when you are hammering them in. The shepherd hook is handy for holding the wire fence up or for hanging lights off. You do need to wear gloves as the stakes are covered with a fine film of metal dust and oil which will turn your hands black from the first stake. I'm really happy with the quality and price, as to if they rust is a waiting game.

Perfect for holding up a sagging wire fence.
Perfect with mesh fence fokeeping the chickens out of the garden.
Pegged out for one day and have rusted from top to bottom!
Ideal for securing temporary fence around pond so puppy doesn't fall in.
Item is sufficient in supporting plastic mesh fencing, I have had to support them with guy ropes during windy weather.I have reduced the stars as item has rusted within a week and unsure of whether they will remain durable.
Just the job
They got rusty to quickly
Good product and great quality.
I know the description says they are uncoated but this is how they rusted within 4 days of being used!!!Not really that impressed to be honest and not as strong as other stakes we’ve bought for the same price
Early delivery and well made
